When incorporating my paper to the site, I knew that the ability to attach photos and videos would be beneficial because I have involved an anime in my argument. Seeing as I cannot insert images into my actual paper, the addition of them on each page was helpful. Instead of insisting that the clothes, cars, and technology in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood was reminiscent of the early twentieth century, I was able to find the still images of the anime and include them as needed. The photographic evidence gave me more of a leg to stand on, so to speak, as they spoke for themselves and echoed my sentiments.
The ability of being able to insert a link for a YouTube video also was great for supporting my argument because I could demonstrate my argument. When I was discussing how Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood had a medium advantage due to being an anime, I could link and show the scene that I described in my paper. It was so convenient and advantageous for my argument to be able to take a minute and watch the scene that I was discussing in real time. This is especially important when the reader has not ever seen an episode of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and thus may not connect to what I attempting to explain with words that the clip could do just like that.
When considering the audience, I realized that I should not be as wordy as I usually am in my papers. Because not everyone has a lot of time to sit and read, I thought simplifying and shortening each segment of my argument would help get my point across in a shorter amount of time. I also thought that the addition of memes to help illustrate my points would make what I was saying understandable to the internet audience. Though the memes were funny, I think the usage of the memes helped to get what I was saying across. After all, our class started making memes to make us laugh, but also to simplify our information for the others to understand.
